About
NURSING CAREER
I am a registered nurse and have been in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. I started as a CNA, transitioned to LPN briefly, then RN. I have worked in various settings that ranged from primary care offices, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, adult day care, community hospital, and now level 1 trauma hospital. I have detailed experience with wound care, burn care, trauma care, cardiac surgery, preventative care, substance abuse, geriatric care, dementia, diabetes management, and appreciably more. I take on roles of charge nurse and preceptor in my current critical care RN practice.
CREDENTIALS & TRAINING
I currently hold my RN license in RI and have held my MA license in the past. I have obtained CPR-BLS and ACLS, ABLS, OBAT training, WTA, and CSU-ALS certifications. I have also taken various continuing education courses that are required and not required to keep my license.
LIFESTYLE
Outside of work I am a full-time mother of two toddler girls and have also familiarized myself with pediatric care on that end. Spending time in nature, crafts, gymnastics, cooking and reading at the library are a few activities that we enjoy.
In addition, to decompress I enjoy spa days with my sisters and friends, plays in the nearby theaters, and enjoy various cuisines in the creative capital city of Providence. I like to lead by example and devote time to meditation, yoga, exercise, and nutrition.
